Nemiroff Vodka: From a Nemyriv Distillery to the UFC Octagon
Count Grigory Stroganov established the first Nemiroff vodka factory in 1872, then the largest in its region, and its original recipes became the basis of the brand, Nemiroff's history page says. A modern factory followed in 1992, where vodka is still made to the original recipe, the page adds.
Early distilling records in Nemyriv
Nemiroff's history page dates the first record of wheat vodka production in the town of Nemyriv to 1797 and calls it the start of the brand's history. Vetropack, the brand's glass supplier, puts the first mention of horilka from Nemyriv at 1752 and says the distillery there was among the first to make vodka from wheat rather than potatoes. The manufacturer, LVN Limited LLC, has its headquarters, production line, and bottling plant entirely in Ukraine, Vetropack adds.
How Nemiroff vodka grew abroad
In 2003 the company became number one among Ukrainian vodka brands in the Millionaires' Club ranking by the British magazine Drinks International, its history page says. The vodka is sold in more than 80 countries across five continents, and Nemiroff is Ukraine's largest vodka exporter, the website says. Its ranges include The Originals, The Inked Collection, De Luxe, and LEX by Nemiroff, the site adds. In the United States, Conecuh Ridge Distillers appointed Campbell Ewald in October 2017 to launch what MediaPost called a new-to-the-U.S. brand.
Production during the war in Ukraine
Production at the Nemiroff plant did not stop during the war in Ukraine, the history page says. In 2022 the company created the De Luxe UA and Originals UA Limited Edition series, with all profits going to support “heroes and civilians,” the page adds.
Nemiroff and the UFC
In September 2018 UFC announced a multi-year global marketing partnership that made Nemiroff its first-ever Official Vodka Partner, with branding inside the Octagon starting at UFC 228 in Dallas on September 8. The brand's boilerplate in that announcement said the vodka had been made in Ukraine for more than 150 years and ranked third among vodka brands in duty-free. It had also been named The World's Best Vodka at the World Vodka Awards 2018, the boilerplate said. The same year it won Vodka of the Year at the London Spirits Competition, the history page says.

Nemiroff approvals in the BUY.VODKA TTB snapshot were filed by MHW, Ltd. of Manhasset, New York in December 2020, then by Park Street Imports LLC of Miami from March 2022 to November 2024.
