Seagram's Vodka: Where the Name Came From and Who Files Its Labels

Seagram's vodka launched in October 2002 and had grown to sales of 640,000 cases per year, Duty Free News International reported in July 2005. Citing Business Week and Reuters, the same report said Pernod Ricard had sold the US brand to Young's Holdings Inc to appease competition authorities' concerns over the Stolichnaya acquisition.

Where the Seagram name came from

The Seagram Company began in 1857 as a Canadian whisky distiller in Waterloo, Ontario, according to Wikipedia. The Seagram's Vodka website says Seagram's has a heritage stretching back to 1857.

Who has sold and listed Seagram's Vodka

Young's Holdings Inc was described in the 2005 report as a California-based wine and spirits distributor, and the sum was undisclosed. An Infinium Spirits press release dated 22 March 2021 lists Seagram's Vodka in the company's portfolio and names Young's Holdings, Inc. as Infinium's parent company. Infinium has sought to partner with family-owned, high-growth brands, naming Seagrams Vodka, Templeton Rye, and Corralejo Tequila, Young's Holdings' website says. The footer of the Seagram's Vodka website credits Infinium Spirits with a 2026 copyright.

In the BUY.VODKA TTB snapshot, Pernod Ricard USA, LLC of Fort Smith, Arkansas filed Seagram's approvals dated 31 January 2020 to 23 September 2021, with Arkansas or Arizona as the label origin on file. Proximo Distillers, LLC of Lawrenceburg, Indiana filed approvals in February 2020 listing Indiana, and Very Good Manufacturing Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas filed approvals in 2023 listing Texas.

Frank-Lin Distillers Products, Ltd. of Fairfield, California filed approvals dated 30 April 2024 to 24 March 2026 with California as the label origin on file, the TTB snapshot shows. United States Distilled Products Co. of Princeton, Minnesota filed approvals dated 19 May 2024 to 28 January 2026 listing Minnesota. An approval dated 17 June 2025 was filed by Infinium Spirits Inc of San Diego, California, with California as the label origin on file.

Laird & Company of Scobeyville, New Jersey filed approvals from November 2025 listing New Jersey, and Templeton Rye Spirits, LLC of Templeton, Iowa filed approvals in June 2026 listing Iowa, the TTB snapshot shows. Each approval appears in the TTB label records for Seagram's.
