Trust Me Vodka: Made From Idaho Potatoes and Organic Wheat
Trust Me Vodka was developed by brothers Brian and Mark Simo, co-creators of the consumer brands No Fear, Spy, Bad Boy Club, and Life's A Beach, a company release says. Since 2017 the company has given 15 artists the chance to create the art on its bottles, starting with Jeff Soto, an artist known for Pop Surrealism and street art, Fashion Week Daily reported.
The two vodkas Trust Me makes
Trust Me sells two spirits, an organic vodka made from wheat and a gluten free vodka made from Idaho potatoes, Fashion Week Daily said. A line of bottled cocktails followed, International Business Times reported in April 2021, naming Bloody Mary, Sex on the Beach, Kamikaze, and a Pear Cucumber mix among them.
How the Trust Me artist program works
The brand is constantly looking for hidden and rising artists across the country, Fashion Week Daily said, and it wants to expand beyond visual arts into fashion, film, and music.
A 2022 collection with Wedripz featured artwork by Saint Von, which Metaverse Post described as the first NFT art series on liquor bottles. Those bottles held Idaho-made spirits created from local ingredients, framed by Saint Von's cartoon characters, and the series ran to 500 boxes, the report said. A buyer of one of 20 one-of-a-kind collections would have Saint Von hand-paint a large canvas of the same artwork, it added.
The DEVO box set
In October 2021 Trust Me Vodka announced a collectible box set with the band DEVO and Deep Cuts Media, holding two bottles of DEVO-branded gluten-free Trust Me Vodka and graphics created by the band. Each of the 1,500 sets was autographed by Gerald Casale, Mark Mothersbaugh, and Bob Mothersbaugh, numbered, and authenticated, the release said. Casale said the band had been "spuds" with "eyes all around" and called the potato-based vodka the perfect fit, in the same release.
